Rescued!

Compliments of a joint operation involving British and American special operations personnel, three members of a "peace at any price" group were rescued in Iraq today. The tip-off to the successful raid was from a local suspect who fingered the house where the hostages were being held. Glad that they were rescued, and that not one single Coalition troop was wounded in the process.

But one would wonder in an absolute head-scratching maneuver why there is a total, and I say again, a total lack of gratitude from this group, the Christain Peacemaker Teams as expressed to the warriors who rescued them. Maybe the Coalition forces should send them a bill for all the expenses that were incurred for their rescue, when these peace activists were probably exercising very poor judgment for being in harms way to begin with.

Agreed; We charge hikers and Mt.climbers who get rescued by the local Search and Resues here in the US. So, why not charge these Christain Peacemaker Teams for their rescue if they got themselves kidnaped while out unescorted by proper security. Makes sense to me.

What was truly amazing in reading their news release is that they are blaming the American and British forces for creating the situation that spawned the kidnappers in the first place. So here we go again, with our warriors being the bad guys, and the terrorists' actions being justified becasue we're such meanies.

I hope this group of misfits has their true agenda fully exposed to the light of day and truth, so everybody can see who our real friends are.

What kind of idiotic people are these ? While they were rescued and being treated in our hospital their spokesperson issues the following statement." We believe that the illegal occupation of Iraq by multinational forces is the root cause of the insecurity which led to this kidnapping and so much pain and suffering in Iraq. " Puck em :d:

Check out their website. If you look closely, they only seem to protest US aggression. Dead silence on Darfur, Sudan, Viet Nam, China, Cuba, Afganistan where Christians are being murdered or dispossessed because of their faith. Seems to me that they are more political than 'religious'
