Question for the Sailors...
...I saw an emblem sticker on the rear window of a car today, and am wondering if it signifies something Navy.
On a black background, a gold eagle with outstretched wings. The eagle is looking down and to the viewer's left. The eagle is on top of a vertical gold anchor. Across the center of the anchor is a horizontal trident, i.e. like "Neptune's trident" with the three tines of the trident to the right. If it has any significance, also on the car's bumper was a different sticker....a red flag with white diagonal bar, which I understand to be the flag ships and boats fly when they have a diver in the water. Any ideas on the black & gold emblem? |
Sounds like a USN Seals Emblem more than like is.

Sounds like a SEAL to me as well. Second sticker is a Diver Down sticker.

SEAL Team 3? Many of the SEAL teams use the same central image.

Yup! It must be the SEALS main emblem device.
It looks like the central image in David's Seal Team Three picture. That would also explain the diver down flag. Did an image search on the net and found almost the exact emblem. Thanks, gang! :) |
