Now that it looks like the Dems are gonna control Congress, let's bring McNamara back.

We just fired him.

I was never a great fan of MacNamara he was a very poor mouth piece for the stupid politic of the day. If he would have had any balls at all it would have turned the war over to the military and the war would have been over in two months my stand is if you go to war take your pretty white gloves off and fight unhindered by politics

McNamara was a micromanager of the war, thought he could win the war with whiz-bang technology, and was a direct cause of so many name on our Wall. He deserves nothing but our collective contempt.

Up on the DMZ at Con Thien they called all the wiz bang surveilance things the Mc Namara Line to stop the NVA from coming through the Z. It didn't work and was a very bad place to work around

Looks like the Dems also got control of the Senate as well. For the past year or so I felt that Rumsfeld has not been listening to the commanders on the gorund or any other military commander about the way things were heaed in Iraq. Hopefully Gates will listen to the people who are paid to wage war and know how to fight it.

Now we need an Abrams if Rumsfeld didn't fire them all for disagreeing with him.
