A Great Movie!
Even though both my old: "Gung-Ho" outfits (10th Recon Co & A-Troop) were merely Aggressors or Op Forces for a few years way-back-when, and never fought in actual combat or a real fire fight during my hitch, I must believe that the movie American Sniper truly displayed: "The Real Deal".
It seemed like what I thought combat would be (miserable, downright nasty & truly f----ed-up) to me. Am I wrong? Do any of you actual combat veterans out there concur (or not)?? Neil |
Being a "REMF" we were unable to return fire unless someone of a higher rank authorized it or you saw a perimeter actually being violated.

Understood, Stick.
Though and in fairness, even rear echelon types had/have their jobs to do and also got/get wounded or killed. Still, it is too bad that those condescending or thinking selves superior to David and other veterans whom are merely just disgruntled Anti-patriotfiles.com Crowd Leaders, won't even permit Combat Veterans having survived actual Firefights & Close Combat to chime-in, post or respond Here, as they once did. What a shame. I think that so misleading veterans to not share their rare insights about and after surviving Mortal Combat from all patriotfiles.com members/viewers is pretty-snobbish and petty, to say the least Whatever, it truly surprises me that any Honorable Combat Veterans could so easily be led by such types?
