U.S. Air Force kicking off emergency exercises Wednesday through Thursday at Lihue Airport

HONOLULU (KHON2) - On Kauai, the U.S. Air Force will be kicking off a series of emergency exercises Wednesday at the Lihue Airport.

During the "Patriot Palm" exercise, participants will be in military uniforms and actively loading and unloading military aircraft with the engines running.

Just a heads up, the activities will look real, but officials want to alert the community that it's not an actual emergency.

The exercises will run through Monday, January 28th .

No flights will be impacted.
