Eastern Washington soldier wins $1million lotto prize
KING Staff Reports
SEATTLE - An Iraq war veteran from Eastern Washington has about a million reasons to feel good this morning. State lotto officials presented Wayne Leyde with a check for one million dollars Wednesday. Leyde won the seven figure payday with a Lucky Millionaire scratch ticket. Leyde says he doesn't have any extravagant plans for his newfound fortune. "Save and invest. I think I'm mostly going to invest for retirement, let the money work for me," said Leyde. Leyde served two tours in Iraq and is currently enlisted in the National Guard. He plans to volunteer to go back to Iraq this spring. |
