ROK fearful..........
 

A friend from Seoul, a Vietnam veteran, called two nights ago. Their Marines at the DMZ are on high alert! Although the younger Koreans don't remember communists and some don't think they are so bad, the older generation remembers well.

My friend is fearful that if US Marines are pulled away to fight in Afghanistan that the north may see this as a sign of weakness and attack.

In any case, our Korean War efforts garnered the loyalty of our best ally, who offered up over 300,000 of there best during the Vietnam War.

Thank you Korean War veterans for your outstanding patriotism and heroism. Personally, this southern boy would have perished on the frozen Chosin.
