Perfect vacation. USAF inhanced
 

Just got back yesterday from Melbourne Fla. Went down there to help my mother celebrate her 90th birthday. Had a ball.
Good portion of the week was spent across the bridge from my brother?s home. Tommy (aka Radar) is retired Airforce, and was based in Melbourne at Patrick AFB.
Patrick is the base responsible for security of the southeastern coast, recovery of NASA missions, and R and R. Probably pretty high on Al Qada's list.
Went to the post exchange and commissary of course but Tommy is a socialite and most of the time at the base was spent at the yacht club and the golf course, two huge portions of the bases real estate.
Only in the Air Force!

You boys must have been real tough on your mother when you were young. You toughened her up so much that she's going to be around for many years yet to come! One can only hope. :D

If you like Patrick you should have seen Myrtle Beach. The golfing there was tournament quality...and hey guess what, now that they closed the base it is on the list of tournaments. A lot of very angry generals were none too happy when they closed that base but then there is always Hickam, Hawaii!!!

You do know the Air Force Motto... Does the Holiday Inn have air conditioning?
