Hand Salute
to Rick. Thank you for all the effort to recognize our heroes further. We dedicated our Purple Heart Monument on Parris Island a few months ago. Recruits and families see it as they prepare to graduate. A further reminder of the blood spilled by hundreds of thousands before them.
Great job! Pack |
"Thank You Fellow Patriots.."
MAX E.TADLOCK, Past Department of California Commander, Military Order of the Purple Heart was one of those responsible for having Shorty and Melvin's name placed upon this splendid monument! The Bill (Honor Our Fallen Prisoner of War Act) was introduced and backed by many fine people (Patriots One And All)! "We all owe a vote of thanks to them (millions)!" OH, and for the record, the Military Awards and Decorations Manual, 1348.33-M does [or will soon] cover the awarding of a Posthumous Purple Heart Medal to a surviving family member of those who died in enemy captivity from 7 December 1941 to the present from causes such as beatings, starvation, lack of medical care, torture, or exposure.
