I gave away my HD Sportster.
Rode a Road King then got back on the Sportster which then felt really uncomfortable, so I gave the Sportster to my son who is now using it to commute from off post to work at Ft. Bragg, NC and saving about $75 a week in gas. I'm now riding a Road King and loving it.
Jim's now the Deputy Command Chaplain of US Army Special Forces Command. He'll be moving over to the 82d Div. in about 2 1/2 years as Division Chaplain. |

Gotta love a chaplain with jump wings and a CIB. When Frank died his sister gave me his FXR and two years ago I gave Packo my sportster. Keep your face in the wind !

Gunner ,I know it's unharley like but have had a windshield on my bike for many years.H ave been almost knocked off the bike by flying things.

Actually, that was on my Honda Shadow. I had a cheap windshield with thumb-screws on the handlebar mounts to take it off. I wouldn't put such a thing on my Harley. I have a Harley one with quick-release tabs that I put on for longer trips. I need the fuel economy the rest of the time.
