Production proto-type

The plane in these pictures is air vehicle number 1, a prototype on
board the USS Washington for catapult fit checks. Not yet made public, the F/A-37 is a Mach 3.5, super cruise stealth fighter/bomber/interceptor with a 4000nm range. Top speed is classified, some where in the Mach 4 plus range. Awesome! Also, there is no phase interval for this plane. It has a 10,000 hour life airframe and engines that require replacement only at failure or signs of trouble. The squadrons are to be out of Whidbey Island, 12 planes to a command. |

I got these from a friend of mine the words are his
Checked at snopes.com. Those folks don't deny it's a protype or say the pics are false. Just say that it is not known as F/A-37. Pic was sent to me by a former Navy pilot I used to flight mech for. I think the pics are legit. Just not sure of the correct designation. Share the pics with whom ever you like. It's a possibilty these are actually pics of the joint strike fighter, but that is pure speculation on my part. If they do turn out to be bogus some one did a hell of a job. I find hard to imagine my old boss sending on something unless he was pretty sure it was legit.....

The pictures posted do not look too bad blown up in Photoshop but there is bleed on bright colors which usually does confirm a fake. There is also one of the pictures left out of the series that really makes the rest look bad. I have attached it below.

Snopes calls it a fake for an upcoming movie filmed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Latest USS Abraham Lincoln news from the local channels in San Diego this morning:
The USS Abraham Lincoln, based out of Everett Washington, will be meeting up with the rest of her strike group in San Diego to be redeployed for the first time since 2002. |
Mach 1 = aprox. 760 M.P.H.
Coast to coast in one hour at which point it's time for a fill up. Impressive!!! |
