Vietnam veteran uses ultralight, parachute combo

PORT ANGELES -- For Dave Kanters, a Port Angeles nurse practitioner,
some things have not changed since his days as an Army medic with the
173rd Airborne in Vietnam.

``In Vietnam I was a flying medic,'' Kanters recalled.

``Now, I'm still a medic and I'm still flying.''

However, instead of flying in helicopters over rice paddies, Kanters,
