The group?s lead singer also got into trouble last year for publicly criticizing a patriotic song written by country music star Toby Keith. His song, ?Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue: The Angry American,? has become an anthem for our military. Maines told the Los Angeles Daily News that she ?hated? Keith?s song and said that it was ?ignorant.? Toby Keith had written this song as a tribute to his late father who had served in the Korean War and had lost an eye during a training operation. It was also a tribute to the American men and women who are fighting and dying in Afghanistan and now in Iraq.
