How much is ONE BILLION?
ONE BILLION is a big number.
How big? Well... One billion seconds ago, it was 1971. One billion minutes ago, Jesus was alive. One billion hours ago, we were in the Stone Age. One billion dollars ago, was 8 hours and 20 minutes ago at the average U.S. Government spending rate. Kinda puts a lot into perspective, don't it? Airborne! Steve / 82Rigger |
Well while they are throwin' that money around they can throw some at the VA to hire the best medical staff this country can afford along with the medical and clerical staff to back them up. Then throw some money out to hire qualified people to process the claims of those that have been getting the run around for years. Let's see, might as well throw some money in there to upgrade the janitorial staff of each and every hospital. And how about some money for the kitchen staff too. Entertainment would be nice. Some people might even get well if they could laugh a little and have some music in their life. Art work. Don't forget that. Wouldn't it be pleasent to walk into a VA in any region of this country and see something that would lift the heart and spirit rather than the mugs of the most recent hospital administrators that forget what they came for. It seems to me that when men and women have done there time in hell they are entitled to a little bit of heaven on earth so why not spend some of that 8 billion dollars an hour to create it for them? Thanks Steve for an eye opener. :nn:
