European Curiosities

Andy, got another shot of the rats, I was so impressed. They got a dump just outside my town (right by the refinery!) so we know what a rat looks like here too. But this guy must really love his business, he stuffs the rats while theyre still in the traps, then has the whole shop window lined wth dangling rats with the dancing rats in the middle. This place is in the Rue de Huilles coming right out of the Chatelet Metro Station.
If I was looking for some Rattetouile, Chateaubrirat or possibly just some Rats n Eggs this would be the place to start. No doubt the Vietnamese got their tastes for rats while under French rule

We had this gentleman in our congregation.

We had a French resistance fighter in our congregation. He spent three years in a German Prison in WW II. He told me that the only thing that kept him alive was the rats. He said the Germans tried to starve them to death but they took it out on the rat population and stayed alive. He said that Rat tastes really good when you're hungry.
