MY SHARE?? Wait a second, let's see, I pay my taxes, I was denied a Veteran's Property Tax break, I served my country for eight years, I vote, I can read and write english...
MY SHARE, my ass!

Oh, and if they come to collect it, I'm unemployed at the time being!

Some food for thought.

First and foremost,...The United States of America owes no other country on earth, one thin dime. QUITE THE OPPOSITE.

What's commonly referred to as: "The National Debt", in reality is the vast U.S. Treasury Notes, Securities and Bond Market.

In fact, if someone buys some Savings Bonds in trust for their grandchildren,...that too enlarges: "The National Debt". Thusly, and since not a politico looking for votes, I must believe that America's National Debt is actually a non-issue.

After all, the more one has of U.S. Treasury Notes, Securities and Bonds,...the better off one is. It just doesn't matter that politicos try to scare-the-hell out of people over such non-issues. Hey Buddy,...it's what "They" normally do. Believe Clinton did such also.

HARDCORE;

When you were going to school did you ever get a math problem with such a number in it?

If my part of the national debt was what you said it was, do you think maybe they'd take a check? If by chance it bounced, would the government put me in a place where I'd be fed, sheltered and have free TV? Would this stay in this place then cover my debt as being paid after said number of months/years in said place where I'd been fed, sheltered and access to free TV?

If such were the case, don't you think that "THAT PLACE" would be replete with an over abundance of political types?

I would, however, recommend that those TVs come equiped with VCRs or DVDs, so that the politicians in question could entertain themselves over the years, playing back [over & over again] recordings of their vested B.S.!! :m:

HARDCORE;

I forgot, YES;
Since money would be the common denominator the place would be of Federal background, thus, it depends on what your definition of [over & over again] is, is!!!
DVD's hold far more information than VCR's, since B. S. between Politicians?s is in VAST amounts; DVD's would be the source of repetitious campaigns ETC... This saves on space as well.

Asbestos may be a little rough;

Wouldn't Cobalt work and take the heat just as well?

Or, how' bout this concept... none of us, nobody who is an American citizen has one scintilla of control over our own national debt, or who incurs it, or who owes it, or to whom it is repaid, or when or how.

Not quite true about the US not owing other countries. Those debt instruments the government issues are frequently bought by foreign governments. They give a good return and the US will be the last one to go bankrupt. (Actually they could be the first but if they did, the whole world would go bankrupt too.) I know for sure Japan buys a lot of them.

I don't know who is worse, the tax and spend Democrats or the don't tax and spend more Republicans. If we don't pay the debt, our children and grandchildren will have to.
