computer problem

I need some whiz kid to answer a question. On computers.

Three of us each has a computer. When we have something on our screen and there is no print option, we do the print screen, start, all program, accessories, paint, edit, paste, file and print. So far good, we all get screen print out. Problem is one screen prints out on four pages and one two pages, and last prints out on six pages. Is there some way to get all three computers to print out on same number of pages ?

Okay,
sounds to me in my "USER" mind (hubby is the techie not me) that the easier way to do this is to again, highlight the text you want to copy wether its a word document or a website the hold the control key down and hit the "C". Then open a word document and hold the control key down, this time hit the "V". So, control + C for copy; control + V for paste. Then you can use your print function from your document.

The good thing about using a word document is that you can embed photos or even screen captures like your print screen option. You can also use the word features to edit out blank lines and spaces to form it into however many pages you need.

Give that a try and let me know how that works.

Happy 'puting!

Not like the good ol days where Print Screen meant just that. Do you actually want to print the screen as it is at the time or do you only need the text or some pictures to be printable? The easy way to do the later is just as the DL suggests, Some how I think you mean print the Screen. Check with the other two guys and see at what resolution they have the video card set to. Some use low to make everything bigger, some medium, (not so old and blind) and higher, can see forever. This may have to do with the # of pages per screen.

Saludos and sorry I was so long.

Like to print screen
Say you have program of 50 pages, you only want page #20
if you click print you will print 50 pages, but you only want page 20
Dragon Lady program I think will work

Thanks

If you just want the text, follow Dragon Lady's instructions. If you want an exact picture of what is on your screen, press the "print screen" button. Next, go to "start," "programs," "Accessories," and click on "WordPad." When the blank page opens up, go to "Edit" and click on "Paste." Click on "File" and then "Print." It should be only one page of what was on your screen.

And here lies the problem with computers...many ways to do similar things. :D

Absolutely, if you want to print the screen follow the other suggestions. And Thanks, I forgot all about the resolution issue. Like I said I am a "user" not a tech.
