A QUITE LETHAL naivete'
A QUITE LETHAL naivete'
by N.R. Filidei (Commentary for discussion on patriotfiles.com - July 6, 2004) America and West in general historically proven having a World Class Naivete' regarding The Middle East aside, let's differently think logically instead of politically. In that context, one must honestly believe that even thinking about having Jordanian Troops assist in helping secure hostile and very troubled Iraq,...is absolutely: "LooneyTunes". No ifs, ands or buts. Nor, similarly having Iranian, Libyan, Saudi, Somali or Syrian Troops milling-around in still volatile Iraq, either. Granted, many UN-minded types will surely say: "Why not"? And, to which anyone honest, up to date and worldly aware could rightfully answer: "Because alliances and allegiances with unarguably fanatical enemy supporters, trainers and suppliers would be just plain suicidally-stupid". The large Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (established 1947) was once and for thousands of years called Palestine. Presently, the vast majority and/or about 70% of the population of Jordan are disgruntled and Western hating (hate democracy also) Palestinians. Therefore, it's only fair concluding that about 70% of any Jordanian Security(?) Forces sent to Iraq, will be 70% comprised of untrustworthy, suspect of intent, and fanatically Western hating and quite treacherous Palestinians. American and Coalition Forces and The Iraqi People need such an additional undermining burden,...about as much as needing additional holes in their collective heads. It doesn't matter one iota that The American Taxpayers have been forced to generously (quite foolishly also) support Jordan for over a-half-century. Any dictatorial and democracy despising Arabs simply cannot be trusted. It just doesn't matter how long a time or how well they've been bought-off. Also, and even after being proven over and over that U.S. Taxpayer Monies can't buy friends, and especially buy the friendship of age old fanatical enemies,...unfortunately some American Leaders believe such pay-offs are still actually worthwhile. Absolutely amazing! Besides, don't American and Coalition Forces deserve much better than having MORE fanatical murderers and assassins,...right within their midst? I certainly believe that The Brave Liberators of Iraq deserve much better. Hey! Dying for Liberty & Freedom of foreigners and/or those unable freeing themselves from tyranny, is bad enough. Don't politically dictate that: "America's Finest"(re. U.S. Military) and Coalition Forces further die FOR NOTHING and/or the insane political appeasement called: "Political-correctness"(actually an oxymoron). Political-correctness only benefit politicos or Arab Dictators intent on capturing or retaining power and control over Their People and/or Subjects, and in many instances is quite advantageous to our much wiser enemies. Thusly, it can't be repeated often enough, in that: "American and Coalition Forces deserve much better". Regardless, one hopes that eventually common sense and logic overcomes: "A QUITE LETHAL naivete' ", that has prevailed for such a long time. Continue on The Arab, French, German, Russian, United Nations, and even like-minded American Dem/Lib/Socialist demanded route,...and EVERYBODY LOOSES. That's not just an opinion. That's a quite reasonable and also sadly unfortunate lethal likelihood. The likelihood is especially so if America keeps doing business as usual regarding highly motivated and deadly fanatics. We can't stay lucky forever. The End (many ways?) Neil :d: :b: |
Yeah, let's have the foxes guard the henhouse, that always works out well! I didn't see the Jordanian forces stepping up when we needed help, but now that we've finished the job, they are sure ready to step in and take the spoils.

Within both Jordan and Lebanon, Palestinians are not at all trusted and are treated as non-class citizens. Lebanon is especially vicious with all this and simple things like schooling and jobs for Palestinians are prohibited. Jordanian ?Queen? Nour makes a big deal about how humanely the Palestinians are treated in Jordan, but I highly doubt that includes equal opportunities and positions of power or responsibility in the Jordanian military, yikes, no way. As an oddity, Jordan has allowed Israeli owned factories to operate inside their borders and one such business is a supplier for Victoria?s Secret. Zo, them naughty nighties are probably made by dirt minimum wage Palestinians in Jordan that are employed by the Israelis, go figure.
The mind-set in the region being that ya never let an enemy out of the dirt and I hardly think arming the Palestinians in any significant way is part of the Jordanian plan, but I can?t say for sure. But overall, letting Jordanian troops operate inside Iraq is pure folly. Guaranteed, the first oil patch they come onto will become Jordanian territory, right just then, and the flail will be on, one more time. One thing the Jordanians can do is seal up their eastern border tight as a bulls butt at fly time and stop the flow of military supplies and manpower into Iraq. But that would be an exercise in denial and an insulting act of pointing out the obvious that is denied in the first place. Scamp |

Certainly can't disagree that at least 70% (re. Palestinians) no doubt hold lower and lesser positions in The Jordanian Military, since such makes a lot of sense. Though, that only a few low ranking fanatical muslims within The U.S. Military itself haven't killed many comrades already, shouldn't be taken lightly. A foreign contingent of such infiltrators might fare better.
Still, and since back in 1947 Saudi Sheik Abdullah was decreed King Abdullah of the newly established Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, it also makes sense that the remaining 30% and/or hierarchy of Jordan's Military must be Saudis. From a military perspective I find neither Palestinians or Saudis at my back very reassuring. In fact, if one of those currently fighting in Iraq and forced having either FRIENDLY(?) Palestinians or Saudis in my bivoac or compound,...any rest or sleep periods would be done on Lock & Load, Safety Off, bayonet or K-bar handy, and with one eye open,...AND QUITE WISELY SO. It can't be repeated often enough, so I'll quote myself again. "American and Coalition Forces deserve much better". I know I'm being politically-incorrect and hurting some Palestinian and Jordanian/Saudi feelings. But, SO WHAT? "American and Coalition Forces deserve much better". Hell,...at least a good night's sleep. Neil |
I can?t disagree with any of what you relate Neil, especially the bit about Saudis at our back. As prophesized, the family Saud is now being masticated by the monster they funded, exported, nurtured, created and have been running high cover for. Push comes to shove, I?m thinking that the Saudi Wahabi Clerics have the ?Royals? by the nads and own the loyalty of a significant number of influential non-family members, including Saudi military commanders. So yup, with the Saudi military around the best bet may be to have a few dozen M1 Abrams ?off safety?, painting and tracking at all times, but being ?nice?, as it were, but only to a point. And some warmed up but standing down helicopter gun ships wouldn?t be a bad idea either.
I still can?t forget the sight of Saudi University students dancing the Arab jig and celebrating when the WTC twin towers were hit. I would expect that in Riyadh, but not in Arizona, California, Ohio, etc. So yes, I?m real jaded when it comes to those Saudi buggers and their foul mouthed, vicious, insulting Clerics and the Royals that are ear bone deep in hypocrisy and double-dealing. Ditto-ditto most everything, Oh Fellow Wise One. :D
Though, it is quite unfortunate that even after: "9/11", Ruling Elite of whatever bent and The Press/Media of whatever bent, can't or just refuse coming to the same sensible and realistic conclusions about The Saudis and most other devious and never to be believed Arab/Muslim Dictators. Guess that being sensible and realistic, just aren't politically-correct and/or acceptable amongst Ruling Elite and their validators? Still, and in fairness to the: "World's Greatest Con-artists" (2001 article referring to Saudi Royal Family), they must be at least perversely admired for masterfully conniving and deceiving,...and/or what "They" historically do best. No others (well that I know of anyway) could have pulled-off what they apparently have done so easily. For over 50 years The quite wise Saudis have convinced many millions of Palestinians to love their over 50 year Saudi Occupiers in Jordan (once called Palestine), while teaching "Them" to despise Liberty, Freedom and democracy. Convincing millions having lived exactly where living for thousands of years that "They" are now refugees in their very own country,...is also one-helluva-beautiful con. Still, convincing and instigating millions of Palestinians and/or Jordanians in that they must all live on a quite small sliver of land called Israel (small part of Palestine bequethed The Jews after WWII),...isn't too shabby of a con-job either. Hey Scamp. If The Saudis don't epitomize the phrase: "With friends like these, who-the-hell needs enemies?",...who-the-hell does? Naturally, I only pose the question about our foreign friends(?). At this juncture, don't wish to offend any fellow, even though quite oddly foreign bent Americans. There's always later. Neil |
Agreed Neil.....
What I see going on is a contest as to who is dog and who is tail, and at present it seems that the Saudi Whabbi Clerics are doing all the wagging of the dog and are hell bent to grab-up every secular Government in the region. I strongly believe that Al Qaeda is but an instrument of these Clerics as is the Taliban. It?s no big secret that the 15,000+ Madrassah Seminaries in Pakistan are virtually 100% Saudi Cleric funded and it?s no big surprise that the Taliban was born of these institutions as are many, if not all, Al Qaeda members. During the CCCP-Afghanistan war, the immediate name predecessor of Al Qaeda was ?Al Whabbi? and had a real mean reputation as ruthless killers. Osama bin Laden was well entrenched within that organization and compiled the name/ location stats on the membership that later became ?the database? or in Arabic, ?Al Qaeda?. In my opinion, all that connects very nicely and without any wild air-grabbing theories/blame Bush iguana piss.
I see the family Saud previously using the Whabbi Clerics to control a restive population, but I really think the tables have turned now and the ?Royals? are hanging on by their camel hobbles, but just. And sure, the Saudi family has played the Palestinians like a fiddle and for the same reasons of control and family/monarchy survival. Along this path of placation, the relationship with the US has been the elastic piece and we always forgive a real good back stabbing/screwing over episode, right. With the US military virtually out of Saudi Arabia now, it looks like bad is going to worse for the Saudi family. It wouldn?t surprise me one damn bit to find that the Saudis brokered a King?s X if the US left ?The Kingdom? and now that deal with the devil has gone sour and very stinky. Ever notice that the terrorist group operating in Saudi Arabia makes a deal out of not being directly connected to Al Qaeda but instead pretends to be some sort of non-direct line independent affiliate. Thin, mighty thin, I?d say. Scamp |

Can't argue with your very valid points made about whom are ACTUALLY calling-the-terrorist-shots currently, since just don't know. In fact, and since the fanatical Arab/Muslim Terrorists are so well organized, well financed and secretive,...I guess that no one will ever really know whom to trust?
Still, I pragmatically tend to: "Follow The Money" and/or lean towards The Saudis ACTUALLY calling-the-terrorist-shots. "They" have manipulated The Middle East (World also) for so long a time, are dictatorially of same mind as most all Muslim Clerics, and plus have more money than God Himself or what any nation could possibly need to ever wreak havoc worldwide with. Don't believe that ANYTHING Arab happens (or not) in The Middle East without a Saudi Blessing. Also, don't believe that there are any dissentions amongst the terrorist ranks, other than possibly when's the right time or whom or what to attack next? Believe that any Arab/Muslim fanatics murdered or assassinated by fellow Arab/Muslim fanatics are solely sanctioned to confuse The West as to whom are actually trustworthy friends or foes,...when in reality Arab/Muslims can't be trusted by Infidels during wartime, much less any other time. I could be way off base? But, one thing is certain. No one will ever know. Arab diversions or well orchestrated and quite lethal smoke-screens aside, no doubt both The Saudis and Muslim Clerics derive some benefits from throwing some of their very own to The Wolves, so to speak. Hell,..even amongst terrorist there are malcontents and/or those not as adamently anti-West or anti-Freedom & Liberty and unconscionably-murderous, as most all dictatorial A-A-Arab Dictators (religious or not) adamently DEMAND. It's too bad that America and The West don't believe much of the aforementioned,...and much worse for all future and possible victims of such fanatical Arab/Muslims,...which some quite foolishly call: "Friends" Neil |
