HC,
In Pulp Fiction, Bruce Willis' watch is set at 12:00, the clock in the coffee shop is at 8:20, and the clock in the pawn shop is at 10:20. A couple of reasons given for the predominate 4:20 theme for the rest of the clocks is that 420 is allegedly the police code for possession of marijuana; and that a clock in the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco stopped, sometime in the 60's, at 4:20, making it a kind of insider dope-smoker joke. |
