Iraqi Elections -

THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!

With the elections in Iraq now history, all that remains to be seen at this point is: "If one panacea-pill alone will cure all that ails this region in turmoil?"

Granted, this election is a huge step in the right direction, but like any election (anywhere on Earth), not all may be willing to accept or abide by the results - for if they do, it will be a first! An injection of pure democracy into the veins of a (former) despotism, after all, could (?) be like injecting the wrong blood type into a hospital patient. This procedure has been known to have an adverse effect! So who, at this point, can really say for sure!?

The whole world is waiting to see what kicks lose in Iraq, and for the sake of that world, I truly hope that peace and democracy (or a sort) will reign supreme within that region? However, with neighbors like Syria and Iran around to stir the caldron, we may find ourselves (unfortunately) quelling one ?Middle Eastern Culture of Violence? after another?

?Again, we shall just have to wait and see - what we shall see!??

VERITAS & DEMOCRACY TOO, I HOPE!

Well in 1860 two candidates ran for President of the US. Lincoln won and the Democrat Majority South seceded and formed their own country. Then the Republican/Progressive North Fought for 4 long years to force the Southern States to come back into the Union .This may be a forecast for what may happen in Iraq :cd: or Mr. Rogers might show up in his sneakers and sweater and every one sing "Will you be my Neighbor" :D
