The wall is in Sugar Land, Texas

Im taking the ladder truck (and crew) Saturday. Im not sure if I want the guys on my truck to see me turn into Jello. They have this image of me Kicking in a door and facing a wall of fire, I hate to burst there bubble. Or deflate my ego. But I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't go see the boys on 22-E, they deserve a few min of time.

As you touch that wall, stand tall and proud Ron. You're here today to carry their message and pride and show the world that they will never be forgotten.

Good luck Ron. I am going to a 3/5 Cav reunion for the first time ever in June .. at the Wall in DC. I have the same concerns. I have been to the Wall twice , alone , and both times ended up a sobbing jello mess. I hope I don't embarrass myself in June. Tiny asked me to push him up to the Wall if he goes. Please take some pic's Ron

Ron, I went to the wall when it came here to Sacramento about 2 years ago. Be prepared when you touch the names of your buddies. I felt the pain of over 30 years lift from my chest, I could hear my buddy saying it's allright now, I'm at rest and you have found some peace. I could see his face, and cried for about 4 minutes, but these were not tears of pain and anger, they were cleansing tears which let me know it was all right to let him go.

Ron, I seen the traveling wall once. I've yet to go to the big one and I don't think I'll anytime soon get there. You should go just if anything to see the names and reflect on their memories. They'd like that.

We owe them that much and its with the respect we had for them that we go and tell their stories. God Bless

Do it, Ron.

You'll be glad you did later. I did a couple of years ago when it was here in the South Bay. I went with a list of 25 names and looked up every one of them on panels 10-13E. Yeah, shed some tears, but I'll always be glad I went to see it. They deserve to be remembered and their names said outloud sometimes. Now the Big One.........I might have to work up some more courage for that one.
