The Blue Angels
 

The "show season" home of the Blue Angels is Naval Air Station, Pensacola...only 40 miles from me.

Many times over the decades have they visited us here at Eglin Air Force Base open house festivities and done a show for us.

When I first saw them perform, they were flying F9F Panthers! :D

If you ever get a chance to go to their air show, don't pass it up.

It's a treat you'll never forget.

In Boston Harbor, the USS Constitution, our oldest commissioned warship, renders honors...

Over San Francisco Bay...

Criss-cross maneuver...

36 inches of separation...

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth...

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings!

...lest we forget...

Saw them many times while I was active duty, and 3 more times since I have retired.

I've seen them many years ago but never really up close and personnel.
