Unfortunately, foreign wars are not the only tragedies that we now have to deal with!
If it is not pedophiles in our midst, the drug-crazed or alcohol impaired, a border that leaks like a sieve, youth-based violence, and a crime rate that is beginning to rival many a Third World Nation, then it?s the unsafe conditions that now exist upon some of this nation?s school grounds and campuses! Columbine, Granite Hills and Santana High Schools are just three tragic examples of the stark horror that is taking place at locations that should be the safest of all! Places where mere children are now at risk because our society seems unwilling or unable to deal with the problems of life in the fast lane! ?Today added yet another chapter to this ledger of infamy!? Twenty-two young adults, full of promise and hope were gunned-down on the grounds of Virginia Tech, one of the finest universities in the land. Another 28 kids were wounded in this senseless act of domestic terror, and that number could very well rise? Even as we speak, the shock waves of this event are being felt all around the nation, and parents with sons and daughters away at school are shaken by this event. An event that has become more common place in recent years! ?WHEN WILL WE EVER LEARN THAT WE TOO HAVE A MOUNTING PROBLEM? ONE THAT WILL NOT MERELY GO AWAY BECAUSE WE CONTINUE TO IGNORE IT!!?
