-->Today it seems, what we know is what we are told by our professors and the various media we consume, News, Movies, Music etc. Folks would have you perceive the world in a way that is some what off the mark as far as reality is concerned.

During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history.
He was the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win a second term.
He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls.
He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus.
As part of a plan to celebrate the millennium in 2000, Clinton called for a great national initiative to end racial discrimination.
In the world, he successfully dispatched peace keeping forces to war-torn Bosnia and bombed Iraq when Saddam Hussein stopped United Nations inspections for evidence of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons.
He became a global proponent for an expanded NATO, more open international trade, and a worldwide campaign against drug trafficking.
He drew huge crowds when he traveled through South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, and China, advocating U.S. style freedom.

The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Manpower Data Center Statistical Information Analysis Division figures of combat and noncombat deaths of U.S. military personnel show that during Clinton's eight-year presidency, full-time, active-duty military personnel deaths totaled 7,500. In contrast, full-time, active-duty military personnel deaths during the first six years of Bush's presidency have totaled 8,792.

The peacetime military mortality rate ranges from about 900 to 1500 per year.
Do the math.

Besides, The Military daily plays with quite lethal equipment,...and don't forget SOMALIA.

Then too, what's with that: "Successfully dispatched peace keeping forces to war-torn
Bosnia and bombed Iraq"??? His only actual Military Success Story was with Monica.
Believe one dress staining occured while Bill was on a phone with some general.

BUT!

Each and everyone of us, including makeout polititions... have skeletons in each and own closet

Your statitions can never agree on anything as it appears and I guess I suppose, that its where your tongue lays to get the advantge of the situation

GunnerCarvo was not part of a peacekeeping force when he went to Kosovo. His ship was part of a task force that fought in a war under Clinton.:r:

For statistics, you need to look at what is measured.

Last Sunday, in Parade Magazine cover story, the article said

Correction. The box contained in the article concerning the woman helicopter pilot is in error. 105 women have not been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001. The 105 number represents women who have died in Iraq or Afghanistan, not killed, and includes deaths by natural causes, accidents, suicides, and even civilian women working for the Department of Defense. Simply, dying and being killed are not the same things.

This chart compared military deaths year by year. No information was available to me on how they died.
