One day we will be back to the Corn Standard and if you have a couple of acres to plant a crop you will be able to buy a Loaf of bread where as the city folk will have wheel barrows full of Dollars to take to market to buy a Loaf of Bread i.e. Germany just before WW2. When that day arrives I think a Bushel of wheat or Corn will be able to Buy a lot of Oil from Hungry Arabs that just have Oil and sand as natural resources. Using the Example of OPEC us Grain exporting countries could get together and use the same tactics of selling the Arabs our Corn and Wheat like they do Oil to US that would be the best way to lower gas prices at the Pump but no one will do that because we The US Citizens are too Kind Hearted and would not let all them starve even while we here pay over 3$ a gas soon because the OPEC states don't care but that is the major difference Most people here in the US DO! The US small family farmer right now pays more to grow an acre of Wheat then he gets selling it.The only thing that keeps us at a surplus is that the Big Companies Truck farms hire enough illegal immigrants to offset the expense of growing the wheat. There fore bread remains an inexpensive staple at the store compared to the rising cost of Water and Gasoline.
