Don't know what happened to it but I wrote an almost lengthy reply when this went up about a female soldier who'd been run over by a 5 Ton, driven by a GI who wasn't licensed for it. She was 19. It crushed her pelvis and caused a ton of internal injuries. They had to give her an emergency hysterectomy, and she suffers from PTSD from this near death experience. I worked with her for months. The Army wouldn't budge off the 20% no matter how much she appealed. I kept telling her that she was fighting a machine that wasn't listening and to convert to VA and go on with her life. Told her Voc Rehab would pay for her to be an attorney and maybe she could work to help other vets like herself. Anyway, she eventually gave up after congressional inquiries etc. One of my other patients, grunt in Iraq, just got his rating, 30% for PTSD from the Marine Corps. That gives him is retired card etc. He definately deserves it or more...but here is a girl with the same and way more physical damage, including never being able to have children, and they wouldn't move off 20. Like the VA rating system, another mess.

Keep on posting this stuff.....everyone needs to see it. It's another reason my paperwork is in. I've had enough. I can no longer work in my profession.

PS I was flattered by my Marine Patient. He is moving back to Spartanburg, getting his education, and "wants to do what I do". Good for him!
