2-21-2021 "Food For Thought"

Only a damned fool could not have (at least) entertained the possibility of extraterrestrial life! I mean, get real, and I am not talking about a race of multi-headed beings with I.Qs that range far above the 300 level, or an extremely massive group of creatures, with weapons that could obliterate our entire solar systems with but a single blast? But anyone who has ever been able to raise his head and gaze up at the millions of visible stars for a moment or two, has got to realize just how infinitesimal and insecure we truly are?

And yet, through all of this and more, we seem not to be able (for the most part) to realize that even within the limitations of our generally flawed sciences and senses, that maybe there are a few of those specks of radiated light out there that could be the home of some sought of intelligent life? “I mean, after all, are we not the epitome and the apex of all possible intellect?” Dream On

Once again – only a damn fool could not (at least) believe that “We May Not Be Alone?”

And what if there are other supremely intelligent life forms out there in the vastness of outer space? And what if they are far more scientifically advanced than we are? Or if, “Like Earth Itself” they are violent by nature or if they possess weaponry that literally dwarfs our own? Then maybe, just maybe, our only real security resides in our own isolation within the vastness of the cosmos?

And yet, we still insist upon reaching out in the hope of contacting other life forms that we assume are friendly and are on a par scientifically with our own – “WHY IS THAT EXACTLY??” Maybe our only true security, resides within our isolation - within the immense vastness of outer space – “Who Really Knows For Sure?!”
