Been on the fire department here for five years now and have seen my share of burn victims. Been lucky enough to never get a major burn myself. Worst one of all was a seven year old girl, skin hanging from her whole body. We air lifted her to Mayo, 20 minutes by air. Lost her mother, two sisters and a brother that night. The following year, we were doing fire prevention week for the grade schoolers and in our second class, in walks the same little girl we air lifted still wearing bandages, none of us made it through that hour without tears in our eyes.
