I've seen a lot of these guys who went through some pretty horrible things while being held as POW's. Even though I see what you're saying in a lot of it, I still find it hard to begrudge any of these fighting troops any of what they may be eligible to get. It's hard to go through what they have gone through and not to have a plethra of problems. We all know how hard it is to get compensated for *anything* from the VA, especially when it is so justified.

Not all of these POW's surrendered, either. Look at Jessica Lynch. She fought until she had no more rounds to fire.

I just can't find it in my heart to turn these folks down for much of anything in the way of compensation, but then again, I see combat disabled vets not getting what they rate all the time.
