FDR is not a Veteran, really? Perhaps not putting on the uniform makes a case, but at 32 years of age, FDR was appointed Assistant Sectary of the Navy; 1914-1920, made some very significant contributions and that makes a different case. At the onset of his first term in 1933, FDR probably had more intrinsic and earned knowledge of the USN and USMC than any President before or since. The key word is “earned”, and that specifically means not given, assumed or assigned.

I simply don’t see how FDR’s history and bio can be used as Obama wagon axel lard unless someone rewrites history and blots out some exceptionally significant military background information.
