A bolo is also a device used by Argentina's gauchos (cowboys), it
is a kind of sling device used to bring down animals or a man,
by throwing at their legs. It is also called boleadora, made by
binding stones with leather strips.

Also, a bolo is also a kind of necktie (string tie) and in some
Latin American dialects of Spanish, bola, (not bolo) means
something like buck ass naked.
