I am also not ready to nominate the President, Chalabi, or Anon for Sainthood, nor do I share your elevated opinion of the UN, and I thank God, that this is what this site is all about, don't you?!

If the President is as big a man as you seem to think, and I would not disagree with you on that for a moment, then he is certainly big enough to realize that he has made some pretty dramatic mistakes! And it would make no difference to me, what political party he hailed from, as it is both the right and the responsibility of those who put him where he is, to agree or disagree with his decisions! Or for that matter, even to be down-right pissed off, over what one may perceive to be a classic screw-up on his part!

This is not a friendly chess game, where the pieces are merely set-up anew after the cry of "Check Mate!" And ah yes - "Blessed are the peacemakers, my friend, for they shall inherit the Earth!" If, that is, there is any "Free Earth" left to inherit!!??

But you are damned right about one thing, it being that the USA is now in the catbird seat, and I can think of no other (just) nation that I would rather see occupying that space!! We do a good job of it, for both ourselves and our (true) allies!

Again, I wish that I could share your wonderfully eternal faith in certain entities, but alas I can not! "To err is human, but to continually forgive, however, can put one in deep emotional, economic, and physical hurt!

As such, I will not condone or applaud the death (as is my right) of even a single American to satiate an ego alone, or to excuse away the destruction of our mighty economy, or the pacification of a few international fools in the name of diplomacy alone! Nor do I look for excuses to point an accusing finger, or (eternally) turn the other cheek to thugs, extotionists, or tear-jerkers!!

To me, this nation (USA) comes first, last and always. And, God Willing, it will be here long after those who can see as well, coming or going (two faced), have departed for bigger and better (?) things!

Lastly - "IN NO WAY" can any man or woman who opposes, what he feels to be a wrong, and loudly sounds off (even against lords, politicos, or the highest of the Earthly high), ever be perceived as anything but a free man, exercising a God Given, Constitutionally Guaranteed gift and mandate - and one handed down from our Founding Fathers! Rights and liberties secured and preserve, by many who gave their all!! Not just for a president, and not just for economic considerations, but indeed, for ideals that are far above us all!

And most of all, never grow mute - "For in a democracy, silence is never golden!"

Again, your (perceived) unbending dedication in certain matters and to certain individuals, is to be applauded (opinion)! I will forever respect (and fight) for your right to disagree, wrong though I feel you may sometimes be!!

I am not an internationalist, nor am I New-World Orderite! I do not parade under but a single American political banner! Nor do I march to any drum or bugle, that is not stamped - "MADE IN AMERICA!"

If that makes me bad or politically incorrect, oh well, I can (and will) live with it!! :cd:
