A little something I wrote...
If my lungs were to fail me,
leave me gasping for air,
My thoughts would be of you,
my fingers running through your hair.
If my heart were to stop,
my blood no longer flowing,
My love would not fumble,
but keep on growing.
I strive at my job,
do the best I can,
because you inspire me,
push me to be a better man.
My nation may call on me,
send me somewhere far away,
I know you'll still be there when I come home,
Some how, some way.
I miss you, love...
