Default The current truth

current...

We've all heard of Black Friday and Ash Wednesday but so far, perhaps for fear of trivialising the tragedy, a name has not been hung on the blazes that, in a matter of hours, wiped out entire communities and took scores of lives.

107 deaths (whole familys burnt to death)

750 houses burnt down to rubble and that is not counting other buildings

34 seperate fires are being battled by firefighters and the defence force, fires joined other fires, 8 wild_fires are now out of control

330,000 hectares burnt out ...1 hectare = 2.47105381 acres = 815,448 acres = 1,274.14 square miles ...the size of Poland

Tens of thousands of wildlife as well as pets and livstock destroyed

Victoria bushland Burns, fires also in NSW, WA, SA
Flooding in North Queensland

A sad day for Australia

whole towns, burn down nothing left
The worst Australian disaster in history started on Saturday (friday your time)
