Description:
(USMC) Don Cuneo, originally from San Francisco, California served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 until 1967. Don went to Vietnam in 1966 and served with the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines and 1st Battalion, 4th Marines as a Radio Operator and Forward Air Controller (FAC). As a Radio Operator and FAC, he was attached to various units throughout his tour. Don took part in Operations DOUBLE EAGLE I and II, UTAH, TEXAS, HASTINGS, PRARIE I, and other operations in and around Hue, Phu Bai, Hill 180, Cam Lo, Con Thien, and The Rockpile. Interview conducted by Richard B. Verrone, Ph.D.
