...Yes, Paco, and I got through to his Di's with his "street gang name" which I dubbed him "CUPCAKE" before he left, as I told him "I would reach out, and touch him while he was in basic", his DI pulled the company together outside, and announced "Russell, what was your nickname back home, and Dillon said, I don't know Sargent. The Di replied, I'll give you a hint, "it's something you bake in an oven" to which he again replied, "I don't know Sargent", and his DI proceeded to tell everyone, "CUPCAKE", it went over well on one of the few lighter moments the men had there, and he took some razzing from his brothers, but he took it all in stride, He finished 2nd overall in his group shooting a 303 score, and a 280 out of 300 on the phyical portions, We are extremely proud of him, and what a fine marine he has become,..
