Its this type of stuff that makes the US look bad. When we had an opportunity to keep the insurgence or pressure going we should have used some back door diplomacy.
We say one thing and then do another. Its a false front that make future alias think twice about supporting the US when needed. The two faces of the US policies have always been a factor with 3rd world countries. They never know what they are going to get.
We carry a big stick and often times pass out duster's rather than allow the locals to fight their own internal problems. Whose to say who is right and who is wrong but these problems are ones we've made ourselves through our diplomatic policies.
