It's true what you say about getting "wound up" over political opinions.
It's also true what you say about probably never being able to change anyone's mind.

But for me, many of your posts have been a learning experience.
Many times when reading your posts I have said to myself,"Well, I never thought of it that way." or "I didn't know that. That needs to be considered."

The only problem I have with such discussions is when they turn into insulting and name calling. And that applies to ANY kind of post.

Whenever I read a post that I vehemently disagree with, I always remember that statement (and I can't remember who said it):

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Whenever I remember that, I can leave that post feeling good about it. And in doing so I HAVE in spirit defended that person's right to say it.

Your posts are very informative and of much value.
