Now why is Yankee a bad name?
It was what the French called the English settlers in this region...L'Englaise and the Native Americans turned it into Yanglees. Over the years Yanglees became Yankees.
But then I'm not a big baseball fan so I guess I wouldn't really understand the depth of the rivalry.
