Not that you need this... but I would say you have no need to feel a fool... the ones who do apparently either have no conscience and are themselvces trapped by circumstances they cannot or will not remedy.
I think Capitalism is great... but it does have the one fatal flaw associated with greed which can become institutionalized. When it becomes so, in this system, it actually becomes "legalized" vs merely criminal graft and what the Mexicans call "mordida".
I recall when the Russians nearly defaulted on their debt payments, and certain other similar monumental economic near-calamities. That was the only time, or times, in my adult memory when we saw law makers and corporations scurry to fix anything that might have had a lasting leveling effect upon guys like you, and me.
