39M has correctly stated that Christianity has only been around for approximaely 2,000 years, and that Buddism has been around approximately 5,000 years. However, the belief in a supreme being, referred to by virtually ALL of the world's civilizations through the ages as GOD, has been in practice since the dawn of mankind. Some may call His name Allah, others God, some even refer to Him as Jehovah. The main thing here is that whatever His name, it is man and man alone that has perverted His laws and teachings.
God gave man 10 commandments. Man then took those 10 commandments and made them into over 150,000 "laws". These "laws" are at best extremely countermanding and thus insure that no man can possibly live up to them.
Budda, Mohammed, Ghandi and all of the other prophets never claimed to BE God and , in fact, admonished their followers to abstain from any worship of the prophets as divine persons. Instead, each and every one tried to point their followers to the One Supreme Being we refer to today as God.
Christianity didn't come into being as a religion until Jesus began His earthly ministry. He NEVER claimed to be a prophet, as Mohommed, Budda, and many others. Instead, He claimed to be the very Son of God. He proved it through His miracles, which no other before Him or after Him has been able to do. He proved it through His bodily resurrection, which was witnessed to by other 5,000 people in the 40 days followiing His resurrection.
For Bluehawk to say that the Koran states that Allah wants his followers to kill all the non-believers in the world is false. The Koran does NOT state this, and neither did Mohommed. It is the
power-hungry Imams that have come after Mohommed which have taught this falacy, by twisting and pervertiing the teachings of Mohommed.
Just as the Jews refuse to believe the very eye-witness accounts of the miracles of Jesus, Muslims who have only been taught selected passages of the Koran believe that it is Allah's wish that they kill any and everyone which does not believe as they.
Stop driving the wedge ever deeper between the various religions of the world by spouting falsehoods and lies. Thisd only furthers re-enforces the ignorantance of the followers of the Imans today.
Virtuallu every religion believes in a single supreme being. Even those that believe in a multi-diety religion also believe that one diety is above all others. Yes, even atheists believe in asupreme being; man himself.
