Yes the 3/5th Cav was involved in Apache Snow and were awarded the PUC along with all the assigned and attached units of the 3rd Brigade of the 101st involved in the battle for Hamburger Hill. I have a copy of the PUC in my gallery.

No, the operation I will get into was Operation Montgomery Rendezvous which started the day Apache Snow ended. On 7/11/69 during this operation my company (D 1/506) along with Bco 1/506, Cco 2/506 and 1/506 HHC fought a two day battle for Hill 996. Gordon R. Roberts of Bco 1/506 won the CMH for his actions that day. I'll get into it on July 10th. the day we CA'ed to Hill 996.
