1975 , Ft Knox , ky , I am filling up my bike near post and a car full of people ask me where to go if someone had been AWOL. I said less than a month just go back to your unit . Guy says no 6 years. I told them to follow me and took them to the post MP station.Army said he went home on leave after basic and AIT and was sent orders for Nam but he never reported. He said he never got the orders so he just stayed at home and waited. He was out in about a week with a general discharge. Let Jenkins stay in Japan with his family
