Death by dehydration and starvation is a long and hard way to go and beyond doubt qualifies as cruel and unusual. However, we get to the bottom line and what we have on the plate is a court ordered killing by cruel and unusual means. If we are to judge a people by the quality of their mercy then I?d say that about 60 % of the population doesn?t pass muster. An opinion poll this AM indicates that 60% of the respondents favored this long, lingering and hideous killing. Those that are so hell-bent to kill Terri ought to at least find a better way, in the name of mercy. And that Judge should just put on a turban and hang up a sign reading, ?Taliban are us?. Some how I feel unclean just knowing this cruel insanity is taking place.
