Melody and Scamp,

Thanks for the site and posts. I am not a mathematician, physicist, or engineer. Needless to say I have to look at other professionals opinions and try to make sense of what I see. According to almost everything I've read, the third ring was as far as the airplane reached. That's not to say that the fourth and fifth rings couldn't have sustained damage in some way but not from penetration. The onsite photos that I have seen of the initial impact hole are not obscured by smoke and water being sprayed from fire hoses. They show a hole that appears to be only 15-20 ft in diameter (my best guestimation to the large side), yet the measurements in heigth of a 757 with gear extended approx. 15 yds and retracted maybe 11 yards? How were the wings able to fold so neatly against the fuselage? I can understand how an engine could break loose and puncture a hole within the second ring and it makes sense that the speed was probably affected if it skidded and bounced into the building but one would think that upon hitting the ground at some 250mph the shearing forces on the wings alone would have started to rip them off and the resultant hole would have been much more jagged and larger. Hey just call me plain stupid because of my lack of knowledge about the physics of flight, etc. but I just have to ask these kind of questions in order to understand what happened. If this was all so well planned why didn't the plane hit where the highest concentration of high ranking individuals would most likely be instead of a mostly finished area under construction with limited population. Not that I'm not grateful that more people weren't hurt, but that just seems a bit odd for terrorists to not act like terrorists. BTW Thierry Meyssan is a well known leftist in France, however right, left, or middle really shouldn't affect our ability to find the truth because everyone at some point has something valid to say and to ignore someone's views because of whatever opinion we might have about their politics, religion, race, etc. only makes the confusion that much more confusing. Looking forward to some ideas and David I will PM Bill "Tamaroa".
