Larry yes I would have to classify most of the stuff related to that incident as conspiracy theories.

Again the simple definition of the basis of a conspiracy theory is the belief that a number of people worked together to cause something to happen in secret.

Here are two examples of what is, and what is not, considered a conspiracy theory:

I believe a conspiracy theory usually includes a time factor to be considered as such. For example, 9/11 and Pearl Harbor have been beaten every which way but Sunday for new evidence that has not surfaced. At some point, and they have past that point in the minds of the general public as well as mine, they pass over into the realm of conspiracy theory.

Here is another example, the Downing Street Memos. While this has all of the elements of a conspiracy theory I would judge it to still be within the realm of political debate as many of the parties have as yet not commented on the matter and the matter is in no way yet settled. For someone to dismiss them out of hand without adequate review in a public forum would be unproductive.

In answer to your questions on the other forums:

The political debate forum relates to anything that is purely or predominantly political in nature.

The general forum is for anything besides the above.
