My Great Grandfather was wounded at Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. He was a member of the 4th Virginia Infantry, The Stonewall Brigade. I have always viewed his military duty with pride & even more so that he recovered from his wound to finish out his military career before returning to his home in Blacksburg, VA.
