Been thinking of you Tennessee boys for the last several days as I hear about the storms and rising death toll. Do you have storm cellars, or whatever? Golf ball to baseball sized hail?! Do you have steel pots for the whole family? What's next? Raining frogs and hordes of locust? You couldn't get me to live in tornado or hurricane regions if you threatened my life. I'll take my chances in earthquake country anytime.
Doc Hal, I had a CO for awhile in the 101st from Murfreesboro; 1st Lt. Larry Earls. He was KIA in the early morning hours of 2JAN67 somewhere around Kontum when we were almost over-run. He'd only been with us for 2-3mos., and he was a pretty good guy. He was going to be a good line officer. I hope he's still thought of by someone there.
