Here's a fix! Have Japan send a ship to pick up the immigrants at the border and they can take them to Japan - they are looking for workers! This will resolve the issues at the Mexico border and our troops can come back home! Will Trump offer this option?
Tokyo, Nov 2 (Prensa Latina) The Japanese Government on Friday presented a project to amend the Immigration Control Law and allow more foreign workers to come to the country to compensate for the lack of workforce.
During a cabinet meeting, the Japanese executive approved a legal reform plan, which was pushed in a hurry over the past few days to submit it in the upcoming sessions of the Diet (Parliament).
With the revision of the current legislation, Japanese authorities intend to create a program as of April 2019 to attract more foreign workers and face the increasing shortage of workforce.
The Government is currently preparing a package of measures to accept more foreigners who want to work in Japan, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters.
According to Suga, who was quoted by NHK, the reform seeks to make Japan a more attractive place to live and work, in which businesses, local governments and the education system will be involved.
The reforms include a new visa status and it will theoretically allow immigrants, with qualifications lower than those usually required, to arrive in Japanese territory to work.
Tokyo currently has a strict immigration control and only accepts university professors and other highly valued professionals from other countries.
Although the number of foreigners in Japan reached the record number of 2,637,251 in 2018, the highest since that data has been collected in 1959, the number is still small compared to other developed nations.
