Certainly there was something that devolved from the Muslim world since int inception, and I didn't mean to imply that they have contributed nothing. Linking with your thoughts, the reality check needed is that nothing has been done since then, all because of fundamentalism. When their religion was hijacked by the fundamentalists, the moderates sat on their collective hands, lest those same hands, along with those same heads be removed forcibly. As you so succinctly pointed out, the Wahabbi adopted a no-prisoners policy long ago, and that includes their own apostates.
